On September 29 and 30, Alfama will be filled with even more fado for the Festival that has already conquered the hearts of the public. The many stages of the Festival are spread throughout the neighborhood, creating the feeling that fado can happen in any alley, lane or square... challenging the audience to touch the Portuguese soul, wandering through a neighborhood full of fado stories.With a careful and demanding musical selection, giving space to established voices and also to those who guarantee the future of the genre, Santa Casa Alfama is also a Festival with a memory and this year pays homage to one of the greatest figures in Portuguese popular culture, Hermínia Silva.
